St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral
sT. Mary’s episcopal cathedral

Dedicated in 1926, St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral occupies a place of historic and geographic prominence within Memphis.
This restoration included the bell tower louvers and roofs, masonry cleaning and partial repointing, and the repair and re-painting of the interior plaster barrel vault and walls. The antiphonal organ chest was lowered to visually rest above the main front entrance, and a cover designed and installed to disguise the wind lines. Pendent light fixtures were renewed to add brightness and cohesion.
The most striking piece of the project is the new color palette, carefully chosen to work in timeless continuity with the Gothic interior, while improving upon the original monochrome appearance.
