St. Elisabeth's Episcopal Church
Bartlett, Tennessee
St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church decided to relocate to a new property to accommodate their long-term vision and be close to the Episcopal retreat center. Hord Architects was hired to assist in a master plan study for the new facility and has since completed design work and construction on Phase One.
Much consideration was given to locate the campus on the 40-acre property. The master plan creates a traditionally styled campus which has a presence on the street front while still utilizing and complementing the natural beauty of the site. The design solution includes a multi-phased campus with the sanctuary centralized and flanked by education, fellowship, and administrative wings. The building is designed within the Gothic Revival tradition to give strength to the history and tradition of the Episcopal faith. Phase One included 10,500 square feet comprising the sanctuary, narthex, classrooms, small dining room, kitchen, administrative spaces, and restrooms.
