Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Germantown, TN contracted Hord Architects to revitalize their 1990s sanctuary space. The goals are to bring more beauty and transcendence to the sanctuary, a greater prominence to the tabernacle, and a fitting environment for the church’s existing Italian mosaic crucifixion scene. To do so, we drew on the history and tradition of the Church, emphasizing the existing iconography and incorporating more art and architectural elements to create more nobility and cohesion in the space.
